Maddie & Wayde

March 18th, 2018

Sweet Maddie + Wayde! This fun-loving, goofy in the cutest way couple were married at a family friend’s mansion in Madison, Georgia. Both were deployed during the entire planning session, so I worked closely with the groom’s parents, who helped create the most magical setting for Maddie + Wayde to say “I Do!”

The weather showed off for a gorgeous, clear November day, with it only getting cool during the evening. From the smallest of details, this wedding was so fun to plan. Because the fall colors were in full swing, Maddie decided on maroons, creams, and hints of blush.

Sarah Eubanks perfectly captured their day, starting with these gorgeous detail shots.

Maddie’s style was the most classic, princess gown I’ve ever seen. Paired with a modest tiara, she literally looked like royalty.

Wayde went with a classic black suit and a maroon tie.

For the ceremony site, after many choices and discussion, the front of the home with the fountain as the backdrop and paved driveway made for the best aisle and entrance. I even had a clicker in my apron to open and close the gates for people to walk down during the processional. Maddie + Wayde opted to not do a first look, so as you’ll see, it was operation keep the groom away from the bride before the ceremony.

Just for the sake of transparency and a something my team and I laugh about now…
This arbor was custom built for one of our couples earlier in 2019, and has been used by so many since. But this was the first time we were putting it up without my husband, and I never realized that it wasn’t built with regular screws…so though the top and four posts were connected with bolts, the support pieces needed to be screwed into place. Since we were unable to do that…we secured it with zip ties and prayed the whole day that it would be sturdy enough. Thankfully it was, and we now carry every since drill bit imaginable, just in case.

These two – all the heart eyes!

Also, told you they were the sweetest, goofy couple.

Their reception was held out behind the house, with the cocktail hour inside at the bar, and dinner and dancing curated around the pool. The double staircase wrapped in lights made for quite the entrance. The groom’s parents totally outdid themselves by cooking ALL of the food. It was delicious!

I mean, is this not the dreamiest place for a first dance??

The sweetest kisses in the moonlight – one of my favorite pictures Sarah captured!

Look at that dress swirl! The stuff fairy tales are made of. Also, yes, that is us trying to get red wine out of Maddie’s wedding dress. Not my first rodeo – that’s why we always carry an emergency kit! As you can tell, Maddie was the most chill, go with the flow bride.

As the night wound down, Maddie + Wayde were sent off through a sea of bubbles.

Maddie + Wayde, thank you SO much for allowing me to be a part of you big day. I was so honored to help plan and get things ready for you both to finally have your dream wedding. Cheers and best wishes to you both!
