Oak trees represent strength, honesty, wisdom, and they are unwavering - very important things to have in a marriage. My husband made sure I got my dream of being married under an Oak tree on a gorgeous, misty June afternoon. Those characteristics are also important to see in the person you trust with planning your wedding day, and I hope that is what you come to find of me and my team.

Possibly one of the most important elements of Oakwood Lace is my “co.” These are my people, people who have cheered me on, supported me, and helped me make so many couple’s dreams come true. You will get the pleasure of meeting one or two of them at some point, and I can promise you - they are some of the most incredible people you will ever meet!

Hi! I’m Danielle, the one behind the scenes planning and designing all these weddings and events. I have always loved planning things, from extremely detailed birthday parties when I was younger, to baby showers and events for friends as I got older. Now my passion is weddings, and there is nothing I love more than making my couple’s wedding dreams come true!
When helping couples plan their day, I want to be a source of peace through the process. Though wedding planning is traditionally stressful, it doesn’t have to be.
A little about me - I live in Athens, Georgia with my husband Josh (who builds all of the beautiful wood pieces we have to offer), our precious baby girl Beckett, three tuxedo cats and a black lab named Ted. I thrive off of hosting my friends, just as much as I do having quiet time to myself. You'll probably find me listening to either a true crime podcast or Taylor Swift, drinking multiple cups of coffee in the morning and a glass of red wine in the evening. If you love beautiful spaces and details, I’m your girl.

My favorite part of the wedding day is taking a minute to watch the ceremony and also experiencing the reception. It's so exciting to see all of our hard work come together to create a beautiful space full of flower arrangements and decor that were tailored perfectly to fit the bride and groom's style!

The ceremony is my favorite part of a wedding day. I always shed a tear watching the bride walk down the aisle to her groom. All the showers, planning meetings, and waiting has lead to this moment and ultimately it is what we're all here for. Marriage is a beautiful picture of Christ's love for His church and I feel so honored to play a role in such a vital part of His Kingdom.

My favorite part of a wedding day is getting to see the love from two different families join together. Even if I have never met any of these people before that day, it's one of the best things to witness the start of a love story from this outside point of view. I get to see this magical day unfold that marks the beginning of a couple's new life.

Hiring Danielle and her team was the best decision I made for my wedding day. Oakwood Lace + Co was not only my day-of coordinating team but my florist and decor extraordinaire as well!
When it came to choosing decor and flowers, she knew all of the right questions to ask, and when I could not think of particular flowers that I wanted, she helped me find what I loved!
