MEADOWS AT MOSSY CREEK

I have never done such an intense anti-rain-dance ever...until December 9, 2023 at Carlyn + Forde's gorgeous winter wedding at Meadows at Mossy Creek. 

From the moment we started planning, I knew Carlyn + Forde;s wedding day was going to be so sweet. With the groom being in a military, the engagement season was short, but an amazing vendor team was built to make their dreams come true. After planning Carlyn's older sister's wedding earlier in the year, I knew the family well, and it made it easy to navigate planning + florals. The family chose to book our services for the whole weekend, from rehearsal dinner to the wedding day, and the details we were able to incorporate throughout will always be some of our favorites. 

Carlyn opted for a classic, timeless black + white theme, with white blooms + greens paired with candles. Our team was constantly checking the weather, assuring each concerned family member that asked, praying the rain would stop in time for the outdoor ceremony the couple had their hearts set on. The day before, the parents + couple gave me the power to make whatever call needed to be made. With our rain plan ready to go, and the weather not doing anything the radar said it would, I made the call to move the ceremony outside, believing it would stop raining in time. The rain cleared, chairs were set, and the rain returned. I said a quick prayer, saying the bottom could fall out during load out just as long as Carlyn got her outdoor ceremony. Just like that, the rain stopped, our team took to drying the chairs, and 10  minutes later the ceremony began, resulting in a beautiful ceremony officiated by the Father of the Groom. What followed was an incredible party, and yes, the bottom DID in fact fall out during our load out, but it was worth it.
